Step 4 - Action implementation
Step 4 - Action implementation - Beef CRC - Beef Genetic Technologies
Why do action implementation? When we talk about Action Implementation in CI&I we are not just talking about individuals and teams implementing their Action Designs. We are also talking about CI&I teams and partners coming together regularly and frequently to support each other during Action Implementation. These sessions are an opportunity to hear how everyone’s action is progressing; provide support to rapidly identify and tackle any implementation problems; maintain a sense of progress towards goals, and in particular support each other to measure and monitor changes and learn; and build the partnerships and socialness that are so important to the sharing, learning, supporting and enjoyment that are part of CI&I. Without effective Action Implementation there is no action or ineffective action, and therefore no rewarding results; we don’t necessarily know whether things are going as expected or have gone off track; we don’t avoid or tackle implementation problems in a timely way; we don’t track the impacts of our changes; we don’t learn from our and other’s improvement experiences as they are happening; and we don’t benefit from the support, motivation and learning of others who are also implementing improvements. The tools listed below can help you with your action implementation. |

| The Action Design Framework can be modified for use in Action Implementation by the addition of two columns: Action Implemented; and Support Needed. Reporting on Action Implementation shouldn’t be hard! Your report is meant to be a straightforward action check, giving you an opportunity to see and share your achievements, and get support. If you haven’t taken action in the past 30 days, seek support to identify why not and move forward. |
